How I Lost My Two Bucks!

Dadajan Pay, a multinational technology company, has a huge advantage for nonentities like me: it doesn't yet charge the ' platform fee ' which was recently imposed as one more unnecessarily taxing/extracting money from nonentities like me! Yes! All other Pays like Dagger Pay ,  Taser Pay, Knife Pay Fork Pay or whatever are already charging platform fees for all bills, recharges and all! No doubt, Dadajan Pay of the veteran company that boasts of an 'online marketplace for anything' is only trying to compete better with the numerous technology giants that have joined the Pay business, after the introduction and immediate popularity of the UPI system in India . Apart from the no-platform fee Dadajan Pay also offers a variety of Scratch Card Rewards including instant cashback rewards. Therefore, I prefer to make bills/recharges payments on Dadajan Pay. Make hay while the sun shines!  Accordingly on that day I paid for my mobile bill using the Dadajan Pay UPI. I was e...

India: Colossal Greed And The Tearful Onion!

It is said in almost every part of this world that too much greed is not good. An Assamese proverb says that when the lazy tiger kills its 100 th cow, its end is near. The nationwide greed of politicians and middlemen or rather dalals for the windfall out of the artificially-made-scarce onions has just become unprecedented, brazen and extremely unscrupulous. With food inflation raging Diwali this time is going to be a dampened affair indeed. This is what should ideally happen to the enemies of the masses. Common people including high middle classes have already drastically cut down their onion consumption. The...

Mumbai Rains: Final Monsoon Cheers And Onion Tears!

Lightning and thunder marked almost every evening of the period with accompanying rains—at times quite heavy—most of the times. Mumbaikars worshiping their beloved God got almost used to it and made preparations in advance every evening. Most of them were not at all disheartened as the rains submerged the soaring heat bringing welcome cheers. Mumbai has just recorded the lowest-in-a-decade September day temperature. However, a lot of them were very disadvantaged caught by lighting and thunder on the beaches on most of the immersion days. The consistency even improved. On the day of final immersion that is Wednesday-September 18 intense bursts of lightening and thunder started around midnight. And then the heavy rains that continued throughout the night and all of Thursday wiping out any rain deficit some areas might have been hav...
